Vermont State Nurses’ Association

The Vermont State Nurses’ Association (VSNA) has existed since 1914 representing and advocating on behalf of Vermont’s Registered Nurses. The organization influences health care and practice related legislation that affects the state’s nurses and patients.

VSNA offers two membership options:

  • VSNA-Only Membership
  • Dual Membership (VSNA and ANA)

The VSNA-Only Membership is available to registered nurses who are not already Dual Membership holders and who live or work in the state of Vermont.

Because VSNA-Only members are only members of VSNA (and not also members of ANA), they are eligible for all VSNA benefits excepted they cannot run for or be elected to the office of President or ANA Delegate. VSNA-Only members are not eligible for any of the ANA benefits. Dual Membership does, however, entitle members to all benefits of both VSNA and ANA.
