Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions

The Post-Professional Doctor of Nursing Practice degree offered at Rocky Mount University of Health Professions is designed to prepare advanced practice leaders. The limited-residency model allows students to maintain their employment while earning the DNP. The only pathway offered is a post-Master’s pathway.

Applicants must be:

  • an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution or
  • a Registered Nurse with a Master of Science in nursing from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.

All applicants must have a 3.0 cumulative graduate GPA.

University of Utah
College of Nursing

University of Utah’s College of Nursing offers the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. They offer two pathways to the DNP degree: a post-Baccalaureate DNP and a post-Master’s DNP program.

Applicants to the post-Baccalaureate DNP program must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Candidates must be licensed as an RN or APRN in at least one of the jurisdictions of the National Council State Boards of Nursing. The GRE is only required for students with a cumulative GPA less than 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.

Applicants to the post-Master’s program must hold both a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s degree (e.g. MSN, MS, MA, MBA, MPAH, or other) from a regionally accredited school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Prospective students should hold a license as an RN or APRN in one of the jurisdictions of the National Council State Boards of Nursing. Again, for those students with a cumulative GPA less than 3.2 the GRE will be required.
