West Virginia University’s School of Nursing offers a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program designed to prepare advanced practice nurses for the highest level of professionalism. The program is an MSN to DNP program.

Applicants to the MSN to DNP program most possess a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from a CCNE or NLNAC accredited program. They must have an unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in at least one state. They must also hold an advanced practice certification in a specialization area approved by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses. Applicants must have a cummulative 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale for their MSN degree.
