Loyola University New Orleans
School of Nursing

Loyola University New Orleans’ School of Nursing offers three different DNP programs:

  • a BSN to DNP track
  • an MSN to DNP track for Advanced Practice Nurses
  • an MSN to DNP track for Executive Leadership

The post-BSN track is designed to prepare students to be family nurse practitioners. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an instituation accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE. They must have a 3.0 or higher GPA. And they must have an unencumbered RN license.

For both post-MSN tracks, applicants must have an Master of Science in Nursing from an institution accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE. The Nurse Practitioner track requires applicants to hold a license AND certification as a nurse practitioner in the area of Adult NP, Family NP, Gerontology NP, Pediatric NP, or Women’s Health NP. Applicants must also have a 3.2 or higher GPA on all graduate work.
