Ohio Nurses Association

The Ohio Nurses Association (ONA) holds constituent member status with the American Nurses Association (ANA). ONA is a professional, voluntary nursing organization for Registered Nurses in Ohio established to advance the nursing profession by providing patients with quality health care.

The association advocates for the nursing profession, nurses, as well as patients by influencing State policy makers regarding health care legislation. ONA provides continuing education and relevant nurse practice information to keep nurses informed of the latest developments in nursing practice. They work to improve the workplace for both non-union and union nurses. For union nurses, ONA provides collective bargaining services.

They state as their mission:

“To advance registered nurses, promote professional nursing practice, & advocate for quality health care.”
