Arkansas Nurses Association

Like almost every state in the nation, Arkansas has a state association for Registered Nurses that is a constituent member of the American Nurses Association. That organization is the Arkansas Nurses Association (ARNA) which has existed for a century since being established in 1912. And as such ARNA is the voice for all of the state’s nurses.

ARNA states as their mission:

“The Arkansas Nurses Association (ARNA) is the professional state nurses’ organization and speaks for professional nursing in the state. ARNA fosters high standards of nursing practice, promotes professional development, and advocates for the profession of nursing. ARNA collaborates with other healthcare providers to facilitate access to quality health care for the people of Arkansas. “

ARNA Membership

As a member of ARNA, you will be part of an organization with over 25,000 RNs. As part of the ANA, you will be part of an organization over 2 million strong. Because of their sheer numbers, these organizations can be very influential in shaping health care policy and legislation at the local, state, and national level.

Benefits of being a member are countless. The networking opportunities alone are worth the dues. As a member you have the opportunity to mentor students and new graduate nurses. The ARNA and ANA organizations provide access to lots of online resources, conferences, and continuing education.

Additionally, members qualify for lots of discounts on products and services from merchants across the nation.
